Paso Robles has over 200 wineries in the area, but I have found the best wineries with a view that you need to check out. These four wineries have stunning tasting rooms, expansive views of vineyards or of the Paso Robles valley and are known for their wine tasting experiences.

Niner

Niner is a family-owned, estate winery and the tasting room is simply stunning. You might have seen their famous “Heart Hill” on Instagram already.. but if not, just wait till you see it in person… it’s the perfect backdrop. No matter what time of year, “Heart Hill” is manicured and always looks great in photos.

Not too surprisingly, Niner hosts engagement events & weddings throughout the year.

Niner also serves a seasonal lunch that really compliments their wines. I am always impressed with their lunch options because they highlight fresh, local ingredients and their food presentation is so cool.

The wine tasting experience is also really well thought out and you can really learn about each wine that you are tasting.

When I was there in 2021, they also had a fun photo booth outside on their patio. Those are always a great time… especially after some wine ha!

Definitely recommend booking Niner ahead of time, so you can secure your preferred time and date.

DAOU

You really can’t come to Paso Robles without visiting DAOU. Not only do they have amazing wine, but their “tasting room in the sky” is one for the books. Their tasting room stands alone at an elevation of 2,200 feet.

Their tasting room serves both indoors and outdoors, but really the magic is outside. The views of the Paso Robles valley are unmatched. I have yet to find any other winery in California that has better views than DAOU.

They have a variety of seating available and larger cabanas can serve parties up to six people. Alongside their wines, they offer a small culinary menu which includes small plates, tapas style.

They are open daily and reservations are required. Throughout the year, DAOU also hosts events and seasonal parties on the hill if you’re a Member. Check out more about their wine tasting experiences here.

Booker

Booker is another fan favorite! Their tasting room is very design-driven and has expansive views of their vineyard. Inside, you’ll see clean lines & wood accents but the best part is their tasting room is really a blend of indoor & outdoor.

You feel like you’re in the vineyard. Also, their vineyard received organic certification in early 2021.

Booker has a variety of different wine tasting experiences like a Cave Experience and Terrace Tasting. For a larger group, you may want to look into the Bocce & Bottles experience. They got a Bocce court on property, which would be a lot of fun to play in between sips of wine!

Booker Paso Robles Boutique or Busted

Booker is open daily, from 10-4pm and reservations are required. Niner and Booker are pretty close to each other so I would recommend checking out both of them on the same day! Check out the map below.

Sixmilebridge

SixMileBridge is a boutique winery that specializes in estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux-style blends. They have a stunning modern tasting room, which was built just a few years ago.

The tasting room has a screened-in porch and huge windows that really bring the outside in. You’ll get an up-close-and-personal look at the beautiful vineyards outside – they are just a stones throw away from the tasting room.

SixMileBridge has a big beautiful oak tree and large redwood deck, perfect for a small picnic, bottle of wine or just a shaded tasting experience.

What I love about SixMileBridge is its intimacy – it doesn’t have the large crowds that you might find at some of the bigger wineries. They really take care of you and make wine education a big part of their wine tasting experience.

It’s open daily from 10:00am-3:45pm and reservations are required.
